Past Events & Exhibitions
- Extreme South: A team of medical students from Edward Wilson's alma mater, St. George's Hospital in London, will be retracing a proportion of his route from the Beardmore Glacier to the geographic South Pole during their South Polar Expedition over the 2008-2009 season. They will be raising money for several charities, including the Edward Wilson Memorial Fund (I) at the Scott Polar Research Institute. Please support their efforts! ATTEMPT POSTPONED FOR 18 MONTHS.
- to 28 July 2007. Part of the centenary celebrations of the Cheltenham Art Gallery and Museum, the Not Just History exhibition includes a small selection of work from Edward Wilson's Nature Notebooks and some Antarctic images.
- 1st December 2001 - 3 March 2002. Discovering Nature: the Nature Notebooks of Dr. Edward Wilson (1872-1912) at the Cheltenham Art Gallery and Museum. A rare chance to see Edward Wilson's Nature Notebooks.
